    SEBA Grade 10 English: Tea from Assam (Glimpses of India II)


    Introduction: The chapter 'Tea from Assam' is written by Arup Kumar Datta who was born in Jorhat in 1946. In this chapter, he talks about two friends, one of who is Assamese (Pranjal) and the other (Rajvir) is his classmate from Delhi, where they study together. They decide to visit Assam during the summer vacation and that's when Rajvir gets mesmerized by the sight of the tea gardens. He also learns a lot about tea from his friend during the trip.




    SEBA Class 10 English: Madam Rides the Bus


    Introduction: Madam Rides the Bus by Vallikkannan follows a young girl named Valliammai or Valli on a bus journey from her village to the city and back. Vallikkannan's fluid writing allows the reader to relate to the emotions of an eight-year-old child as he takes in new sights and sounds. The story begins with Valliammai, an inquisitive eight-year-old girl who liked to observe the busy street in front of her house. Valli's interest was piqued by the bus journey between her village and town.



    SEBA Class 10 English: Tiger in the zoo


    Introduction: Leslie Norris's poem describes the agony and helplessness of a caged tiger living in a zoo. The poet describes what his life would be like if he were a free animal. The poet tried to explain the plight of animals locked up by humans for their own entertainment.




    SEBA Class 10 English: Amanda


    Introduction: The main character, Amanda, is a little girl who is constantly tormented by her mother, who does everything in her power to make Amanda develop good habits. As her mother continues to instruct her with advice and sayings, Amanda is drawn deeper into her dreams. Amanda escapes into her thoughts and sees herself in the free world without her mother's relentless insistence.

    Introduction: Poet Walt Whitman expresses his admiration for animals in his poem 'Animals'. He says they are calm and content with themselves without being obsessed with wanting to own this or that. He wondered if the animals had picked up these traits from where man carelessly dropped them eons ago. It means that one has lost one's true nature somewhere along the way.



    SEBA Class 10 English: The Ball Poem


    Introduction: This poem is about the pain of losing something we care about and then learning to move on. It is about a young boy who learns for the first time in his life what it feels like to be sad after losing a valuable ball possession. Losing the ball may seem insignificant to us.     SEBA Grade 10 English: Footprints without Feet


    Introduction: The plot revolves around Griffin, a scientist who has developed a drug that can turn any naked man invisible. He decided to use this drug to get revenge on his landlord. To get away, he set fire to his landlord's house and drank the drug. Griffin could have used the drug to help others, but instead used it to cause chaos, according to the story.
