The Entrance Examination Fee is Rs. 1000/-.

Online Application Submission Starts: 29 January 2026
Last Date of Online Registration: 27 February 2026
Duration of Entrance Exam: 2 Hours
🔹 Eligibility Criteria for IGNOU B.Ed Programme
Candidates must have:
At least 50% marks in Bachelor’s Degree and/or Master’s Degree in:
Sciences
Social Sciences
Commerce
Humanities
OR
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Technology with specialization in Science and Mathematics with 55% marks or equivalent qualification.
🔹 Additional Eligibility Conditions (ODL Mode)
The following categories are eligible:
i) Trained in-service teachers in elementary education
ii) Candidates who have completed an NCTE-recognized teacher education programme through face-to-face mode
🔹 Reservation & Relaxation
5% relaxation in minimum eligibility marks is provided to:
SC
ST
OBC (Non-Creamy Layer)
PwD candidates
EWS reservation will be applicable as per Central Government rules
Reservation for Kashmiri Migrants and War Widows will be provided as per University rules
🔹 Age Limit
There is no age bar for admission to the IGNOU B.Ed Programme.
🔹 Admission Criteria
Admission to the B.Ed Programme is merit-based.
A Nodal Regional Centre-wise merit list will be prepared after the Entrance Test.

Candidates can apply online only through the official IGNOU website:

Examination centres will be allotted based on seat availability
🔹 Important Instruction
Use of Mobile Phones or Electronic Devices is strictly prohibited inside the examination centre.
Candidates found possessing or using such devices will face penal action.
