The Assam State School Education Board (ASSEB), Division-II has announced a new question paper pattern for the Higher Secondary (HS) First Year Examination 2025. This update is very important for all students preparing for their exams in Science, Arts, and Commerce streams.

1. Science Stream:

  • Physics: Total 70 MarksMCQ (35 Marks) + Short/Long Questions (35 Marks)
  • Chemistry: Total 70 MarksMCQ (35 Marks) + Short/Long Questions (35 Marks)
  • Biology: Total 70 MarksMCQ (35 Marks) + Short/Long Questions (35 Marks)
  • Mathematics: Total 100 MarksMCQ (50 Marks) + Short/Long Questions (50 Marks)

2. Arts Stream:

  • Political Science: Total 80 MarksMCQ (40 Marks) + Short/Long Questions (40 Marks)
  • Education: Total 100 MarksMCQ (50 Marks) + Short/Long Questions (50 Marks)
  • Logic & Philosophy: Total 100 MarksMCQ (50 Marks) + Short/Long Questions (50 Marks)
  • Economics: Total 80 MarksMCQ (40 Marks) + Short/Long Questions (40 Marks)
  • History: Total 100 MarksMCQ (50 Marks) + Short/Long Questions (50 Marks)

3. Commerce Stream:

  • Business Studies: Total 80 MarksMCQ (40 Marks) + Short/Long Questions (40 Marks)
  • Accountancy: Total 80 MarksMCQ (40 Marks) + Short/Long Questions (40 Marks)
  • Finance: Total 80 MarksMCQ (40 Marks) + Short/Long Questions (40 Marks)

Key Points to Remember:

  • OMR Sheets will be used for the Objective Type (MCQ) Questions.
  • Schools are advised to use OMR sheets for Class XI and XII exams whenever possible.
