About Assam State School Education Board (ASSEB)
The Assam State School Education Board (ASSEB) was formed by merging the Board of Secondary Education, Assam (SEBA) and the Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC) under the Assam State School Education Board Act, 2024.
ASSEB started on 13th September 2024, with the swearing-in of the new Chairman, Sri R. C. Jain, and Vice-Chairman, Sri Rukma Gohain Baruah. SEBA is now known as Division - I and AHSEC as Division - II.
